Is there a guitar interface for iPad that doesn't introduce noise/hiss?

I have a guitar interface, um, that shall remain nameless for now, that has a noticeable hiss/noise even with humbuckers and nothing that would cause interference. Does anyone use one that doesn't have some inherent noise?

I have the Apogee JAM (http://www.amazon.com/JAM-Studio-Qualit ... B004Z8VQ2O (https://www.amazon.com/dp//ref=nosim?tag=kvraudio-20)) which I like a lot. I've found it to be very low noise. I also have a JamUp plug which is quite noisy.

I second this. Apogee JAM should be OK, I didn't notice too much noise with it. Also, I can't recommend you anything else, because this is the only interface that I've used so far.

Our iRig HD is another good option for a digital interface that will give you the pristine signal you are looking for. It also unlocks exclusive gear in AmpliTube if that is of interest to you as a bonus. http://www.irighd.com

Apogee Jam, Griffin StudioConnect...and although I haven't tried it...the iRig pro hd looks to be modeled closely after the apogee...don't think you'll go wrong with either of these

You should know that amp sims amplify any noise already in your signal. And there's always a noise floor. You're not using high-gain amp sims, are you?

I recently got the apogee one and it is amazing. No added noise. I also changed my bass pickups to gfs redactives, which are internally shielded, so I'm very much noise free now which is cool, first time in 24 years of playing that it's been true! The pickups that are being installed in my 5 string (SGD) are also internally shielded and I can't wait to get it back.

Any of the dock connecting devices I've used have been fine. I've owned the Apogee JAM, the IK iRig Pro, and now the L6 Sonicport. All are pretty quiet.

Apogee JAM works great!

iRig Pro is worth a look because it works on guitar/bass AND microphones. Plus it has a MIDI input for use with a MIDI foot controller to control your apps on stage, hands free.
No longer with IK. Here is my Website | Twitter | YouTube | Facebook | Instagram

That the old white one or the new black one?
Meh.

Most of the dock connecting audio interface should be very good.

I have a Jam myself.
But I would probably go for a Ampkit Link HD or iRig Pro if I had to buy a new one.

Imho their is no perfect solution if you want:
- guitar in
- midi in
- line out
- headphone out + extra gain for 250ohm headphone
- ac adapter option

Sure there is. Roland Duo Capture EX has all of that, for only $50 more than the iRig Pro.

Thats true.
But it needs a converter for lightning (another 30 euros for the official model), and isn't as small as the Jam/Irig.
Also I don't think the iPad can be changed while using the EX. This can be done with the Ampkit Link HD.
