I wish to take the mono signals of two audio devices and compare them in the Spectrum and Oscilloscope Analysis tools.
Currently I do that by taking the mono inputs into a minijack stereo connector and feeding that into the sound card. On other oscilloscopes I can see the two signals compared against each other in real time.
Can I also do this using the BlueCat Audio Analysis Tools? Will I be able to get a visual comparison of the two across the octaves in near real time? I don't care if there is a small delay.
Finally, can someone point me to a good 101 guide on comparing like this with these sorts of tools and or recommend tools better suited to this type of comparison?
Here is what I really want to know:
How the two signals react as they are attenuated, imagine two FM radios and the input signal on the antenna is attenuated and the volume gets increased, one radio may perform better than another in receiving weaker signals and or distort the signal less when the volume is increased and or amplified.
I want to see the effects of how radio A's mono signal compares at the same time as Radio B's monoized signal.
I want to visual see it, freeze it and snap its picture and be able to study it. These tools seem to have that capability but I need help in how I would see the differences in distortion on the two sources as they get amplified.
Thanks in advance for your help. Know enough to know what I want and uneducated enough about all this on how to see what I want.
Thanks in advance for your help!

You don't have access by any chance to the transmitter these radios are tuned to, do you?
If you do, I'd actually broadcast the test tones of the RightMark Audio Analyser and let that tool do the analysis & comparison. Total spectrum and harmonic distortion are amongst it's metrics...
