Trying to record audio (guitar, vocals) in Logic Pro X (10.0.6). The latency is horrendous when playing back. Totally unusable. This seems to have just happened after I swapped over iMacs from a i3 to a 3.4 i7.
However if I record audio in Logic Pro 9 or ProTools 11 there is no latency problem.
I have spent several days looking at and tweaking the relevant parameters including latency set-ups, audio set-up but everything I've tried has not worked.
I am using a 003r as my interface and using its latest drivers on a iMac 3.4 i7 running Mavericks 10.9.1.
Am I missing something or will a full re-install solve the problem. The fact that my other DAWS are running smooth has got me scratching my head! :? :?

Any help would be appreciated.

You're on Mavericks with Logic X, I honestly think your issue lies in there somewhere"

Thanks.

I had read that particular thread earlier looking for an answer but that latency problem concerns recording midi with VIs which I dont have a problem with.

My problem is with recording audio i.e. guitar/vocals.

Anyone else ? :help: :help:

I seem to have solved the problem and a heads up to anyone using a digidesign 003r.
It seems their latest 002/003 family drivers (11.1.0) have been causing the latency.
I uninstalled the latest drivers and re-installed 11.0.0.
Now everything working as it should.

Thanx to those who tried to help.
