Hi! I will soon visit Jordan and will spend some days in Amman and the principal tourists places.
I really would like to buy a typical traditional music instruments of Jordan since I collect ethnic bought around the world.
I would like to know if someone can help me in choosing something nice and where to go in the city to buy it... NOT a tourist souvenir! I have a budget of about 150- 200 euro
I would avoid the our or similar cause I tried it and it's really difficult to play...

Looks like a Shababa wont cost too much, or be difficult to pack in the suitcase on the way home.

acutally my problem is *where* to go to buy some musical instrument that is not just a tourist souvenir!

any info on Jordanian typical instruments??
