Ok so if you have to do live performances would you go the Deadmau5, Daft Punk route with a costumed persona to hide behind or would you just be yourself?

If you say yes then at least explain what sort of costume you use and why you chose to use it.

I know it's been over used but I think I would attend all my live shows in a sort of Kick-Ass style Super Hero Costume just for the f**k of it.

I voted yes, though I wouldn't dress up with a mouse head or anything like that. I've also never held the stage by myself; I've always paired with someone (dj/soundsystem) or been part of a band. But most of the time I've been on stage, I've had some sort of costume.. More like uniform really. A full suit (never worn a tie, though!) or camouflage. It's a unity thing to dress up similar with other performers and I think it's cool. Atleast I think it's cool when viewed from the audience side. Sort of a tribute to old-time bands, when people used to dress up fine.

I had a venusian mask design I was considering implementing that had a lot of feathers and shit on it, but then I realized....nah, I have fans here on KVR asking me to wear nothing but underwear and a sheet for a cape, I think that's the better route to go down for costumes.

Of course I disappointed alll my wonderful fans  because I was just a guy smoking an ecig instead.

That's quite the thought provoking statement. It could mean many things.

It depends on the project. I could wear different costumes. But I don't want to run around with boxes over the head like DJs From Mars... :x

If I ever opted to wear a mask, the main reason would be so nobody could see the abject terror in my eyes.

The only time I used to wear costumes for live performances was Halloween gigs and a couple of times when I was hired to be in the pit band for a musical/play that required us to wear something that was usually stupid looking (clown, etc.). Being under hot stage lights with a costume is not fun, although it was a pretty easy way to keep those extra few pounds off. Anyway, I voted no. Gold lame' thong is plenty for me, thanks. ;)

Yes.
If you're going to press “start” on your sequencer on stage and then twiddle some knobs, you might as well give the audience something to look at.

SOME of us are real musicians. We'd press start, twiddle some knobs, AND hold a note down on a synth patch.
