Do you wish for a colorful sound of Slash's guitar? Is heavier distortion, similar to Zakk Wylde's, the one you usually go for? Does a characteristic blues-rock vibe of Jimi Hendrix express your musical feelings? Or have you thought of purchasing new guitar gear but its price was always too high? AmpLion offers an affordable and precise simulator of guitar amplifiers, enabling you to create an endless number of unique and unmistakable sounds, including your sound!

ampLion is a software guitar processor for Windows and Mac OS which brings perfect simulation of guitar amplifiers, speaker, effects and pick-up microphones. Its wide range of utilization involves both occasional musicians having music as their hobby and professional players who can make use of ampLion not only during recording sessions but also for live performances.

Nice. Finally the cabs are bypassable. Some useful new features, too. TBH this one was the first Recto sim I really enjoyed playing through at the times. Still fire it up now and then. Got the email, too. Anyways thanx for the heads up.

And only free shipping to US I guess :(

They must have sold out of stock on hand, but they are still taking orders on the next shipment. Yes this is a USA deal from a USA vendor.

Anyone had any experience using these? Can't say that I've heard of this amp sim before.

I bought AmpLion Pro a few years back. It's ok but I like Amplitube much better.

I just tried to install the latest version on this computer which is where it was originally installed to see how far AmpLion has progressed. However the latest version will not install on WinXp. I can understand not supporting Xp anymore so no hard feelings I just wanted to let everyone know.

I may try to install it on my Win 7 studio computer but I'm not sure my reg code is good for this new version so may not bother.

I already have enough amp sims, and I don't hear anyone gushing over this one, so think I'll give it a miss.

No one knows better than yourself what pleases your ears, so I suppose you should try it out no matter how much gushing it gets. ;)

The free version also needs some serial nbr. Don't know where to get one.

I could try all of them out, but would rather just look at anything that stands out rather than spend a lot of time evaluating a new product in a niche that I already have some good tools for.
