For the next week or two I'll only have access to my work laptop and Beyerdynamic DT880 250's.

Although I've not yet tried it, I suspect the output of the laptop headphone jack will be insufficient to drive 250 ohm headphones.

I'm therefore considering buying what is essentially a disposable headphone amp, the HA400:

This will work wont it.

Quality may well leave a lot to be desired but that's not the priority at the moment.
