Well.................................deleted it fast.

Looking for natural sounds. Pianos, Guitars, Orchestral or realy cool modern sounds for modern music.

Any advice?

Thanks a lot.

just noticed its on sale for $20
This isn't too bad--especially for $20! That said, you might find Dimension Pro a bit limiting if you're trying to create realistic orchestral or "modern" sounds. Dim Pro is a great little synth/ROMpler, but it's getting a bit long in the tooth, and it doesn't offer features many of the newer synths/ROMplers do. Also, there aren't too many high-end developers making sounds for it, especially not new, "modern" sounds.

As a ROMpler, Dim Pro doesn't have round-robin sample playback, so your orchestral sounds will sound relatively "static". It also doesn't have some of the more extensive effects that newer ROMplers have.

I really like Dim Pro, but if you already have the Garriton set (and everything else Cakewalk was giving away for it), then you've probably gotten as much as you're going to get out of it. Cakewalk is about the only developer for it (and that's because they created it, basically), though they also offer Digital Sound Factory stuff, on occasion. Most of the DSF stuff is re-purposed from hardware synths (or the Proteus VX or Emulator X VSTs), and it isn't very "modern" or "orchestral".

I already have miroslav and I am thinking of getting either this for dimension pro for $20

or this for rapture which it's only $10 http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/Pro ... FC1.00-20E Transitions may be more my cup of tea since I am not going to write symphonies as I am a guitarist mostly.

I snagged piscis by galbanum for $20 and have yet to test it but the site now shows that item is no longer on sale so I guess they sold enough and wanted to raise the price back up. I have wanted this package for a long long time finally they put it on sale so I am glad for my having waited to get it that way.

That does have some really interesting sounds. And for $10, I'd say it's a steal if you're doing cinematic work. I don't do cinematic (I wish I did!), but I might just grab that for 3 or 4 of the sounds I heard in the demo!

Rapture and Dimension Pro still have some life in them, especially in ambient, EDM, techno and other, similar genres. If I was the OP, I'd grab the free SampleTank 2.5 player and then load up on their current sale of symphonic and/or world samples. Miroslav has some great sounds, too, and they'll play in the free SampleTank Player.
