Okay, this is driving me nuts for months now, since I can't find that darn song.
I can't remember the title, I can't remember the lyrics. All I know is this:
- it was an alternative rock song from the 90ies or even 2000s (yeah yeah, everything is alternative rock in the US)
- it was played on MTV up and down
- it was a male only rock band
- they were singing about a girl, but I'm not sure if the title was a girls name, it was a short title however
- can't remember if it was a love song or a breakup song
- the song started with the lead vocalist and 16th acoustic guitar play, about 1-2minutes into the song, the rest of the band joined in with a full rock arrangement (more like pop rock)
- I remember a yellow/black checker type background, maybe it was even spinning
- the song was upbeat
Another song I remember but can't find was about a long haired redhead singer (male), playing on some type of Casio portable keyboard (the main melody), the band was underwater (or it looked like it), he stepped into a wardrobe from time to time. Definitely 90ies stuff.
I am mainly looking for the first song - but I can't find it. And trust me, I just wasted 2 hours again(!) on several chart listings to find it, without success.
Thanks for chiming in and helping out.

Interesting posts, but unfortunately not the songs I'm looking for.
The first YT link does indeed have a vocalist and acoustic guitar that goes into a more upbeat song. But the song I'm thinking about is a tad faster, and the band members also didn't have long hair.
Maybe I should try to and least recreate the melodies. Hopefully this will help on the long run.

hehe...if you do a good enough job, you can just play it for shazam and have it tell you the song.Compyfox wrote:Interesting posts, but unfortunately not the songs I'm looking for.
