What is it?
---------------
People who have been here long enough might still (vaguely) remember the original "The Game". It was basically just a song contest of collaboration: four teams made one song each and KVR users voted a winner. The winner got the grand price of being able to gloat.
How does it work?
--------------------------
Teams:
----------
If you're interested in entering, post a message here.
Applications will close when we have enough entries for 10 teams of 4 people, or in one week. Whichever comes first.
I will then randomly select teams.
Each team will pick a name for their team. Feel free to pick a main contact for your team.
Ample time will be provides to work on the song. I'll judge this based on feedback from the teams. We all have busy lives (well, some anyway), so I don't want to rush that part.
Songs:
----------
The songs can be anything you like, but to prevent boring the crap out of people, let's limit playing time to 10 minutes max.
It should be written especially for the contest.
Submissions & Voting:
------------------------------
Teams will post their song on Soundcloud and provide me with the URL.
Once all submissions are in, I will post the URLs and voting will start.
I suggest we do this Eurovision-style(ish),
i.e.
10 points for your favourite song
8 for second favourite
6 for third favourite
then
3, 2 and 1 point for three more teams.
I might adjust this depending on the amount of teams.
It might just become a poll.
What's in it for you?
Fun and honours. This is about collaboration and doing something new.
Of course, if anyone wants to donate anything as a price, then happy days.

sounds fun. only have reaktor installed at the moment, so maybe i will join in next time. however, i might be tempted to reinstall everything to become part of a group called 'the idiots' or some such nonsense:)
will this be a recurring thing ??

Well, last time was 7 years ago or something.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: will this be a recurring thing ??
So it's more exclusive than the world cup in that respect
But seriously, collaboration can be real fun and usually the result is good music, so I hope people are up for it.
Btw, all you might have to do is drop an audio track into any DAW and add some Reaktor goodness
