Seems he had a full life, although a little hectic at the end.
Was always fun to listen to his radio shows, he had a unique voice, nice delivery, and you always learned a little bit of history about the artist. He would often add an emotional story that somehow made a song you'd heard many times over seem more personal and interesting. Surprisingly, I've never heard anyone imitate his format. Seemed like something everyone would have tried to duplicate, but never really did.

An island of calm? Hah hah... Listen to his swearing in outtakes of radio stuff. He was just as human as anyone.
I was recently thinking about how long he's been a media icon. I had no idea he was Shaggy's voice actor. Funny and interesting. 82 isn't so bad, for males. Sad about the dementia. Seems he had a good run though. Most humans don't live as interesting or notable lives.
