My monitors is the last thing I turn on and the first thing I turn off. To prevent pops.

Easy as that or turning down volume is always the last thing you do in your studio before closing the DAW.manducator wrote:My monitors is the last thing I turn on and the first thing I turn off. To prevent pops.

I would agree here, it's just a 2-way on/off switch, these are the only other variables.manducator wrote:My monitors is the last thing I turn on and the first thing I turn off. To prevent pops.

Unfortunately, its not that simply - if you have active monitors (as the studio monitors often are). I´ve got Genelecs´ and just met one of their develop managers, I asked about the maintenance of the speakers. He told me that I shouldn´t turn off the power of the monitors between the sessions, only if I don´t use the monitors for several days (or more), its recommended to turn off the monitor power. The volume of my monitors is the last thing I turn up and the first thing I turn down. To prevent pops.

Yep, that's the correct order - the only other thing to remember is to turn the volume down on everything before you turn everything off.AstralExistence wrote:manducator wrote:My monitors is the last thing I turn on and the first thing I turn off. To prevent pops.
