Charlie was one of the greats on 'stand-up'.
He rocked my jazz world in the `70s growing up.
He with Mclaughlin, (My Goals Beyond) and Coltrane, (Journey in Satchidananda) set the scene for my entrance into spiritual jazz.
He made a strong impact on me as a bassist myself.

He was more, much more, than just a great jazz bassist...

One other of my fave Charlie Haden performances.
With Joe Henderson and the gang, playing 'transcendence', 'spiritual' jazz from that era.

Wow, Mick Goodrich. I remember seeing him with at that time unknown, Pat Metheny here in Philly with The Gary Burton Quartet early `70s.
I may have only seen Charlie Haden once. Hard to say really. I do remember seeing him with Keith Jarrett. The early `70s are a bit foggy.

Yeah, there was so much of that kind of stuff going on in those days. But if one could really get on Stewie's time machine, the great thing would be to go back even further to the early days when he was with Ornette...
