Loop select in Mac

Hi I just bought Rapid Composer LE and I can't seem to get it to loop select the bars I want to loop. I click and drag in the ruler but it just moves the Playhead. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

In mac you have to shift click and drag in the ruler.
