Hi guys,
May be you can help me to find some software which can help me split/cut my audio sample CDs. To do it all by hand will take to much time, I think.
Basically what I need is a software which could detect a certain amount of silence (for example, 2sec.) and then place regions, from the end of this pause till the begin of the next etc.
I've already tried Samplicut and AutoTrim/Auto Region in Sound Forge. Both of them are not precise enough for my needs (samplicut can't detect ending correctly, and sound forge is always off by 500ms or so).
Any tips, ideas will be much appreciated.
Thanx in advance,
Nikita

No, they are just normal Audio CD which I bought a couple of years ago. The main problem is that I do not use them at all because it takes just too long to find something I like when you have 1 audio track with, say, 100 samples in it. Then you need to grab it, find it, cut it...

Logic has a ReCycle alike feature that is called "Strip Silence". It does exactly what you describe above. You then use the command "Convert Regions to Individual Audio Files" to have them be converted to single files and be subsequently named/numbered in one go.neuro_nick wrote:Basically what I need is a software which could detect a certain amount of silence (for example, 2sec.) and then place regions, from the end of this pause till the begin of the next etc.
I suppose, Sonar and Cubase ét all have similar features.
