Why don't you listen to Top 40 ? Either you're going to feel young again or you'll be grateful you've been a teenager in the seventies.

Feeling VERY old

I graduated high school, went into the military and got married in 1978, but I aint old...the best is yet to come. I do however still listen to music that I listened to when I was in 3rd grade in the 60's. That year both my sister and I got AM clock radios for xmas and I had my first radio, the first song I heard on it was "For What it's Worth" By Buffalo Springfield and I still have that song today. "I Hear You Knocking" by Dave Edmunds is another. All my music is on shuffle play so I might hear them both before the night is over

I remember going to Elementary school with Mozart and he was really fat and sucked at music.

I'm 38 and I don't consider myself 'old' quite just yet BUT I do consider myself too old to appreciate dubstep for instance

That said I'm not really bothered that I can't appreciate dubstep

I'm 62 and still search out new music like I did when I was 14... I really like Skrillex and some other young producers like Zedd, I'm pretty amazed at the sonic quality of their productions just as I was amazed by the sounds Trevor Horn or Thomas Dolby were getting in the eighties. Sam Smith is the new Marvin Gaye to me and newer artists like Kwabs or FKA Twigs are doing really interesting things as well, there's so much great eclectic music out right now that's unfortunately not reflected in the top forty like it was in the 60's/70's or the eighties, one has to really look for the pearls.
Don't feel old... enjoy the fact that you've lived through some pretty interesting times.
