It's a cool groove box and the slicer is pretty neat. Maybe not for everyone but I like it.

It's very fun, agreed, but a couple of points:

1. The interface doesn't rescale. If you're on a laptop you might find the bottom of the plugin is cutoff.
2. No multiple outs - this is a FR that many people have asked for, which is yet to be delivered.

Demoed Egoist.
Already have FXpansion Geist Full - do I need Egoist?

Egoist disappointments:
1. No remote control (MIDI CC or automation) for Slicer (order, tuning, ..etc). Using Geist you can handle pitch/filters/envelops/timeStretch for each slice individually.

2. One stereo output .

3. No individual effects per slice

So, even for $43 I'll pass.
Seems the main Egoist feature is "simplicity"

Egoist has only been out for three months.

Features can be added with an update.
