The upshot of the Boz delay pricing debacle is that I looked into some other delays that had been listed in various threads

I am sure I had the demo of mfm2 installed at some point, but was a little overwhelmed by it. It seems that in the interim period Dan Worrall did his 'thing', and now I am pretty blown a way by the possibilities. Still a little overwhelmed, mind :)

It's indeed a fantastic demo video. Owned MFM2 but never scratched its possibilities. Guess I'm the "normal delay" type guy.

May have to think about it again, though. :)

I have a few delays... This is next on my buy list.

I tried the demo a while back and it sounds incredible. But I still need some time to get my head around it. :)

Is there anything that U-he can't do?! :)

Yep. I own it but rarely use it. My delay needs are fairly mundane, and frankly, I'm intimidated by it. :)
Great video, though. I might have to revisit MFM2 to try to wrap my head around it.

For those of you that are confused or intimidated by the UI, there was a total conversion done by a forum member recently. I think it makes the device look more Ableton-eqsue. I'll let the reader decide if that's a good or bad thing. :)

That conversion is far better looks less confusing by a mile. I need to save for Hive synth though.

Sweet... I'll have a gander at that! Cheers.

while i do like that skin, i found that after watching dan's video that the original ui made sense. what had originally seemed too insane (and for little reason), now makes perfect sense when seen in the context of the signal flow. he alternate skin lacks the visual cues to the flow. more than that, and mentioned in the thread, the functionality of the onscreen keyboard is lost

It's on my list. If somebody wants to get rid of it pm me. :)

That's what kept me from buying it: The possiblities are fantastic, but i don't think i could use them very often.
Same as with reverb times above 5 second: Instant gratification when playing around with it, but mostly senseless in the context....

With rebate, is it MFM2 still worth $54 ?

Or better to buy some Valhalla plug at $50 instead ?

both are great.
both cover different territory entirely.
Ubermod may be closest Valhalla to MFM2, but still- save and get'em both eventually

Well, übermod is a cool plug in, but MFM2 is pretty amazing. That new skin makes it a lot less confusing and frankly I think it's a forgotten gem. Get it for sure.

Though I don't think one can really go wrong with Valhalla plugs, I would unhesitatingly say yes, to your inquiry. :tu:

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I am amazed by that product demo in the OP, being able to play the effect almost like a synth is like one of a kind I have seen so far

But as I already got Camel Space, I think I might be covered. CS might not have 4 separate delay lines, but still that isn't all it is about
