Yamaha Hs5, Hs7 or Hs8 with 3,40m x 3,40m Room

This may be a question for Gearslutz.com, but from the little I know about these monitors is that they need space behind them (between the speakers and the wall). I believe the recommendations I've seen mentioned at least 70-100cm behind the HS5, so potentially more for the larger ones. HS7 and 8 have substantially better bass than the HS5, which may or may not matter (there's a matching subwoofer). I'd tend toward the smaller ones, but you should get that verified by someone with more expert knowledge. I work mostly with different types of headphones. I know, not ideal.

I'm using a set of HS7's in a room that's just over 3.5 metres in width and over 5m in length and they're spot on. You'll never open the 8's up fully in a room that size. My ears are shot to bits and I can't play my 7's at full pelt. They're just too loud.
