I've been experimenting with CreamCM version as featured in issue 210 of Computer Music Magazine. As I use Pro Tools, I had to find a way to use Cream as a VST. I find I can do that by opening an instance of Reaper inside a Pro Tools instrument track and then setting up Cream on an instrument track in Reaper with a VI right below it on the same track. I then use MIDI track from PT directed to play that track in Reaper. So far, that all works just fine. In this case I used Cream with an instance of Synapse Audio's Dune 2 VI set up in Reaper. Because I had other tracks set up in Reaper with other VI's, this track was set to receive on MIDI channel 3. I called up a factory preset and set the MIDI to receive on channel 3 in Cream. Sounded great. But, when I changed to a different pre-set, the MIDI receive channel reverted back to 1. Every time I call up a different pre-set, it does this. I don't understand why? I'd like to be able to just run through pre-sets without having to change the MIDI channel back to 3 each time. IS there a way to make that not change with preset changes?

Thanks

I believe there's a free plugin from PIZMIDI that can convert all messages to a certain channel. Could you throw that plugin in after CreamCM? (yes, I know that this would be a work-around)
