Who's Stubby? It's an Elvis video?

I just find it terribly amusing that some screenwriters threw that discussion into an Elvis picture as an excuse to piss him off.
"atonality", ah, no. Sehr fatuous. It's some society folk talking about some stuff they read where, Downbeat?
But 'You haven't heard Lennie Tristano's latest! He's reached outer space!', maybe that guy gets it.
"Stubby" probably refers to Shorty Rogers. ^that album {and various 'modern jazz' records} came out on Elvis' label, RCA. As well as Atlantic, and London. I guess it sold a few copies.

I want to hear some actual Elvis music now, but he was really bad as an actor. Everyone else in that clip is passable, but he's really stiff.
