i was playing around with this nice little non SE/SM freeware VA synth.
And i thought it was deserving of a slightly better GUI, so here is about 2 hours
worth of work on it.
i think it sounds great while using very little cpu.

get the synth here:
http://www.vstplanet.com/Instruments/VS ... zers24.htm

then get the gui.dat skin file here:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/u317t7

simply unzip the skin file and replace the gui.dat file in the cetone2 folder.

enjoy! :smack:

Layzer makes even the worst looking synths on earth usable, now it looks like Cakewalk Triangle! :tu:

(Or was the ugliest default GUI Oatmeal? :P)

It's really a perfect example which shows how much a GUI can be of first importance to give a totally professional look to something which is lost within the humdrum things precisely because of a crappy look.

Very nice skin which changes totally the idea that one can have about a plugin.

Seems you forgot to color the headings for LFO2 and modulation slot 4-6 ;)
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, using Reaper and a fine selection of freeware plugins.

intentional to cut down on the cramped original gui. figured lfo2 falls under the lfo heading and the 4-6 mod slots fall under the mod slots heading. and well, you know how it is leaving things out :hihi:

Yeah, I expected something like that. But to me it now looks like something is missing

Not a problem though for me, I'm not using this synth (did test it in the past though, it's nice but not adding anything to my current setup).

i loaded up the included "99balloons" patch and was impressed enough to do the gui.
then discovered the random chaos feature and started to wish other synths had it. Charlatan, Synth1, OBXD, ragnarok.... MicroTera has it and i love it

Oatmeal has it too :D

Don't think Ragnarök will ever get that, as it lies outside of the scope of what I think Ragnarök is (or should be).

But, if you use Reaper, it's pretty simple to whip up a patch randomizer in JS-script ;)
