Funny, when I saw the topic title, I immediately thought of What's Your Name? I think La Gloria is a little unfair. I see your point, but they were going for a deliberate caricature with that one, and the music really isn't all that bad. I far prefer it over Chains of Love.

^^ i agree. I like la gloria and it's still in my playlist. Funny vibe in this tune ! I'm more embarassed by the "i want to have a big male voice" syndrom of you surround me (despite the fact i really like the song) :

It's no coincidence that both those Erasure songs are from their weakest album of that era IMO.

Here's another beauty....

Blue jeans and moonbeams by Cpt Beefheart

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Really? Rebecca Black is your favorite artist?

NIN - All Time Low has the lyrics: "Get down on the floor, Shut the goddamn door." Trent has written some ropey lyrics over the years, many of them on the new album but that one is frankly awful.

Original version is miles away better :hihi:

Who Dunnit? is one of my favourite 80s Genesis songs. Great stuff, makes me smile every time. Also shows that Genesis were likely the only progressive rock band that was capable of self-deprecating humour.

This is the real stinker, though:

Yuck yuck yuck.

Have to list overall developments rather than single songs:

a) Early UB40 vs. late UB40
b) Early Third World vs. late Third World

Delta machine and playing the angel are frankly among their best. 30 years fan here.

The hidden track on Massive Attack's 100th Window should never have left the studio.

The Prodigy's Baby's Got A Temper was probably the best of a bunch of tracks that otherwise thankfully never got released.

There's probably a whole stack of radio/DJ-friendly-unit-shifters, dodgy collabs and token MC-based tracks by a lot of decent d&b/dubstep artists that I've fortunately forgotten about.
