I am trying to install this off the DVDs. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit. When I copied the discs to my hard drive, I just copied them to a new folder called C:\Program Files\Best Service\MyFolder because the instructions didn't specify an actual location.

Some of the files from the first disc are not working; for instance, when I try to load the viola, it says, "Could not find the file in image file." All of the files from the Content 2 disc (soundscapes etc.) are not working, with the error "the selected folder contains no valid library!"

Also, if anyone knows where on the Engine 2 interface I can simply set up my external MIDI device (Preferences? Pro Edit? Haven't found it yet.) I'd really appreciate the help.

Chapter 6 of the Engine v2 manual, has information about how to operate the browser, and load files.

Have you tried to troubleshoot, reading that?

Hi,

Yes, I have looked through all of the places in the manual that would seem to make the most sense and I haven't found anything yet. It says Engine is supposed to detect your input devices automatically but I'm properly plugged in and it's not detecting my keyboard.

You are using it as standalone and not in a DAW?

Yes, that's correct.

The MIDI input is actually working in Reaper, but I can't find where to adjust the settings for it so it also works in standalone. I guess that's not a huge deal for now -- I'm more worried that so many of the samples aren't working. Going to try installing it again.

OK, so I got it working. :D

I was copying the Content 2 folder into the wrong location. It needs to go in the Era Medieval Legends Library\Image Files folder.

Hallelujah!
