Hi,
I bought NI Alicias key 2 years ago and since then, I did not follow too close to the piano vst market. I think it is the bang of the buck pinao for NI. Now, I would like to find some kind of Sutdio/grand alike pinao sound that you sometimes hear in R&B and some Trance melodies. Would you please recommend me a nice one around $200 ?
Regards!

If you can stretch your dosh a little bit further, I'd recommend Pianoteq 5 Standard. It's excellent and is getting better all the time.
Equally the very good slimmer version, Stage, is 99 Euros.

Agree with paulbreeze about 8dio and Soundiron (don't forget the Montclarion).
Piano in blue from Cinesample deserve a look.

I am really impressed with "The Grandeur" from Galaxy/NI....It sits in the mix really well and there is incredible clarity due to the hyper sampling techniques...I have several copies of the Ivory "Italian Grand" and the "American Concert D" as well as quite a few other sampled piano libraries,so I have a few high end comparisons at hand and "The Grandeur" is really working for me...It also weighs in at less than 10% of the American Concert D...I tried the 8 Dio 1928 Steinway and for my tastes, the focus of the recording is not right...Even with just the close mics,it sounds too "honky"....The Grandeur is mainly close miked and you can add convolutions as they are needed...It's really hard to remove the ambience when it is part of the samples,so close miking is usually a better option for most situations.....
I absolutely hated the previous NI pianos included in Komplete with a passion and they were a waste of good HD space...They were dry - with no real tone and the top end sounded like it had been hit with a ice axe...They were 100% awful
But the guys from Galaxy have come along and provided a set of pianos that are a high quality sound with a small footprint and to my ears,The Grandeur is real winner...
Go to the NI site and look at "Behind the Scenes" with photos of the recording sessions and the very serious miking that went on...
The techniques employed are off the scale and they came up with something really special in that set of pianos....
They work for me

Cinesamples Piano In Blue 2 , NI The Giant , Fluffy Audio My Piano and the Antisample Cinematic Grand which believe it or not is the most affordable and most tweakable to sound like a trance melody.

For your case, you may try Ruby Grand, which more closer to your sound, here is the link
http://www.supremepiano.com/product/ruby.htm
Or Fazioli Rose, you can hear the demo here
http://www.supremepiano.com/product/rose.htm
We also have other pianos for choose, including Steinway and Bosendorfer
And actually you do not need to worry about that indeed.
After you purchased it, you can customize your sound by using our online system. What's more, you can also send us a reference MP3 so our pianist can analyse how to make the same sound. These all helps you to achieve the sound you want.
Hope this helps
