Greetings,

Sadness is easy with a couple of chords.

Happiness too.

I occasionally get Befuddlement out of a few notes.

But I always draw a blank at Boketto.

And so, what emotions or sensations are most difficult for you to capture with your music?

Conversely, are any way too easy to create, time and time again...

Cheers!

It's difficult for me to express emotions I don't have much experience with. Such as satisfaction. I don't even know how that would work in musical entertainment / art.

Most of these emotions I have experience with to some degree or other. Some a lot. Some less. But I can't say I've expressed fishiness in music. I think I know the emotion... it's suspiciousness... Such as while watching people be passive-aggressive; I find that to be fishy. :-D

(I know fishiness is a joke)

PS: anger is far too easy.

Happiness is really difficult. It always sounds way too cheesy when anyone attempts it.

I can never get that "McRib" feel in my tunes. Maybe I should get a goldfish.

You're Mick Jagger and I claim my £5.

What an interesting question.
I'm with robojam - a sincere non-cheesy happiness or joy is difficult to convey.

I have a real problem conveying Something Else. No matter what I do, I just sound like me.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

for me squeals are my expression of happiness
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

The moment you put "Fishiness" as a option, this poll is destined to fail.

But hey, it's Christmas! :hihi:

None, I leave all that emotional crap to my drum machine :hihi:

I don't know that I try to convey any emotions with my music. Most of my music has vocals in it, where the lyrics are written and sung by the vocalist. I just provide them with a guide track that has a certain mood, but they write the lyrics, which really conveys the emotion, as does their delivery/performance. In my instrumentals, I guess they set a certain mood, but I usually don't intend to convey a given emotion - I let the listeners determine what emotions they get from it.
