Got an Air 2 for Xmas, so of course some of my wiring is instantly obsolete.

Of all the options, the wired Lightning to 30-pin adapter (as opposed to the one piece plastic adapter) seems like the best bet but I'm wondering whether both components of the old CCK work with it properly (the USB connector and the SD card connector). In the Lightning series, Apple split up these two into two separate adapters.

I'm also wondering if using this adapter will add latency to MIDI and audio. Maybe the straight Lightning to USB adapter might be better?

TIA for any experience with these.

My iConnectMIDI2+

had the wired Lightning to 30-pin adapter and a Special 30
pin to USB wired adaptor. One or the other cable adaptor
went bad very quickly. Now I have on order the

hope this last longer. As for speed I cannot comment. I comment
only on durability.

Thanks. I decided to play it safe and got Apple's Lightning to USB adapter, but the longer version with 4" wire. I think it'll pretty well handle what I've been doing through a USB Hub.
