Well, there's much bla, and some bla, and also plenty of bla bla in the Soundcloud help, but the most important thing i cannot find. What quality setting does Soundcloud use to encode your tracks? I did a Google search, and some people claim it's MP3 128 kb/s. Is that true?

Sounds about right. Whenever I tried downloading a streaming track from SC I got a 128k mp3.

You can also provide an untouched download but I'm not sure how that works as I don't have a SC account.

Hm, the quality of the file i just downloaded is 192 kb/s MP3, average bitrate i guess. Happy it's not 128 kb/s, that would have been a bit weak.

You can post .wav and have people download in .wav

What's the quality soundcloud encodes your music to?
