I wanted to throw in my two cents about this product.
Frankly, it is one of the best inexpensive VSTs available. It is as useful as a $200 VST.
The main shortcoming I feel, at this time,is the manual and instruction. Learning to use such a product can be difficult and time consuming. The users who experiment are rewarded, but a few key aspects of the program could be elaborated on much more than they are.
For example I noticed people having trouble with the sequencer section. I have the same version, and mine works, so I am wondering if the difficulty is they don't understand the program.
All in all there are so many great and creative uses here, that I missed a good bit until I had worked for 3 hours.
Videos don't take the place of a manual, and vice versa; the manual is essential since making clear videos for every aspect needs an hour long video. Of course, this would be helpful if there were an index saying at what time the features were described.
Re the manual example, I have a few questions that I can't find in there.
First, what is the priority of the pages in the pattern editor section? I have not seen this in the manual but my eyes are pretty bad. I could test and find this out, but could it be told? For example, obviously a chord page overrides the sequence, but what happens between the order page and the sequence? I am assuming the order page takes priority?
Concerning gate. What I notice is that the gate knob on top, shortens notes when it is cranked up. To play with this I first turned off the sustain and release on the softsynth in question (Omnisphere in my case). Thus I could experience positive and negative values of gating in the gate page of the pattern editor. I've found that it may be necessary, for experiencing positive values in that section, to simply increase the gating knob, making notes more staccato. To experience negative pattern view gating values, it can help if the knob is turned down (counterclockwise).
I am assuming there is a mathematical significance to the positive/negative adjustments, and that it relates to the gate knob value. It might be nice to know, (hint hint) but actually all I really needed was to have the info in the above paragraph.
Another consideration I have is that there should be a way to quickly get the length of each pattern view page to equal the pattern step setting on the pattern controls section (which is to the right of the pattern editor pages section). Maybe could it be possible to right click at the top of a given pattern editor page (like seq, order, etc.) and have the length auto-adjust to the number of steps on the pattern controls section? Or maybe a button to align all pattern page lengths for that pattern to the current step length of that pattern. A little button like that just beside the step length entry box in pattern controls? I dunno. I just notice that I am often wanting these values to align but I always must manually do the adjustment.
It must be said that I love the flexibility of being able to have these values be different from one another.
Thanks so much for this brilliant and helpful and flexible program.
I bought the B-step sequencer but I think the only reason I did that is that 1) I didn't understand so immediately what all the kirnu cream uses are. 2) Kirnu Cream could use a second set of pattern editor pages, that allow entry of MIDI controller values. Storing patterns that send out these values would be absolutely fantastic, which apparently B-step does.

I should also note that the pattern sequencer has the ability to have a different length than both the pattern editor pages and the pattern control step length value. This is a wonderful flexibility.
It might be nice to right click on the pattern sequencer to copy the step value above into the sequencer, rather than dragging up and down, since there are many times when it is desired that these values should match.
(Lol, probably a bunch of people are just using a length of 32 for everything. I know, this program is flexibly for people like me who will want to abuse it...
