Massive Heaven by Joseph Hollo

Video Demo

Last year i set a big challenge to myself: if i can make any nice Padsheaven kind of smoothness, warmness out of Massive.
Massive is famous about the cold digital harsness so it is used mostly for agressive leads and basses.

It was starting out hard for me, but i didn't give it up and suddenly the beast become more handy and kind to me. :)
Now i can proudly report to you: i did tame the beast :!:

101 new sounds for NI Massive

Massive Heaven is a collection of
68 expressive, evolving, warm, soft, light, dramatic, emotional synth pads.
33 carefully selected Keys, Leads, Plucked instruments, Sequences, Basses.
For full list of presets please check out "Product Details on the website below.

Most of them are highly transformable by the wonderfully useful Makros.
I like to think of my presets as a new, versatile, expressive, standalone instruments.

Thanks for the Massive GUI, the names of the Makros will tell a lot about how to use. I also use to drop some notes where needed.

Cubase cpr and Midi files of the demos helping to understand some
suggested use of the controllers.

Native Instrument Massive 1.3 or higher
EDIT:Note these patches are in nmsv format only.
EDIT: Now available in Both NMSV and KSD format!

The price is set as an intro sale for one week, until 5. March.
As usual a free preview bank is available:

I am not quite sure how long it was the work on this, i started last year around late summer
and it was quite a fight with it. Then the new Serum came along and attracted me away
from Massive, so i was continued the work later when my Warmed Serum soundset was released.

My first sound design adventure was in 2012 Padsheaven for Zebra. So it's Zebras fault i am
making sounds for synths at all. After working with all is possible Zebra is really hard to face with all the limitations in other synths.

So it's 3 year sound design, but i was already familiar with the building blocks of many synths since long time as a keyboard player.

Thanks, glad you like it!

- Your welcome arkmabat!

Cheers :)

These are great sounds so I spent some time converting them to KSD versions too for those of us who have Kore 2. These are fully tagged with user notes and as a bonus I made morphing variations for most of them. This means for each patch there are another 7 variations plus the original patch in slot A that can be smoothly morphed between (like in Alchemy for those not familiar with Kore) which further increases the already huge musical potential and expressiveness of these patches. So for Kore 2 users the added value is you get nearly 800 variations (plus all the in-betweens) from the original 101 patches.

I am happy to be a KVR forum user, since i am using this pages i'v got countless useful advices, ideas.
It's really great to receive real friendly help from a KVR fellow!!!
Today i really experienced what this forum is about. :tu:

Thanks so much for aMUSEd for his selfless work on the KSD conversion and to
the Kore 2 variations!

Now Massive Heaven is available both the NMSV and the Kore 2 KSD format.
So if anyone need the old KSD format, please contact me on the website.

Thankyou, these are the sort of presets Kore was made for, presets that are like instruments in themselves, full of possibilities that can be captured in Kore's morph grid. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to work with you on these.

I'm also just doing what I can to keep Kore alive in some way so I really hope Kore users will buy this and support development, this soundset and the ones I converted for Leap into the Void are the only new sounds that are coming out now for Kore 2. And if you have Kore 2 these will work with the Massive 'engine' built into Kore 2, so you don't even need to have the full version of Massive.

(However note these are not made for Kore Player, which only loads NI licensed soundpacks).

I just made the "mistake" of listening to the demos.

You definitely have a golden touch, Hollo! I was going to hold of on this one for now, but I can quickly hear that this is another must have!!! So I will have to get this over the weekend for sure.

Keep up the fantastic work. Cheers! :tu:

Thank you Sequent!

If you liked the sounds from the demo, you will get absolute the same sounds with the presets.

There is no manipulation, no outboard fx, no compressor even, only NAKED presets.

Cheers :)

Only one day left from the intro sale. 8)

Got round to doing a few examples of some of the morphing Kore patches - these are all single patches, morphing in realtime between 8 saved variations (as in Alchemy) - lots of 'sweet spots' and interesting transitions in these patches:

Ambient Dawn

New Age Seqs

Groving

Needles Bells

Pleiades in a water mirror

Nice work and nice to hear all the variation from the presets! Thanks aMUSEd! :tu:
However Kore 2 is really capable to morph between the variation, the Massive users can do almost as much useful, special own variations with the makros. 8)

I love the choice you made, cause it's easy to compare with the demo video to find the same
preset. The video is starting with the New Age Seqs but under the main logo title i didn't want to
write the preset name it's also plays a role later. All your examples are in the video also, except "Groving".

Guys this is the last day of the intro price.
Thanks for all who have jumped on board! :)
