Would there exist a vst that you can use as a container for other vst?
To connect different ones and safe as a preset.
For example a synth with 2 extra fx.
Or a line of guitar fx.

Would also be handy for voice effects:
I use kerovee with luxonix multi-fx in my DAW, but must find a way to load several program changes at once, hahah

Image-Line have a modular host type thing in beta, as well as the similar "Patcher" device that comes with FLStudio.

Minihost Modular is a seperate VST/AU plugin.

It is still a beta, though I use it as I prefer it to Patcher tbh.

Blue Cat Audio Patchwork mentioned here is meant to do exactly what you're looking for, but if you want to get extra fancy and creative they also make MB-7. It does the same thing except you can separate frequency bands and have a different set of VST patches for each band! You can have just one band to achieve what you're looking for, but you can also split up to 7 bands with very steep curves and do some extra crazy sh&%t!!

Will only do FX though - not synths.

I would have mentioned it, but the multiband setup, while rather useful indeed, is maybe a bit more 'niche', and its focus on that means its not as modular as the others.

Just to clear up the last comment, it does do synths and effects. I think the last comment of not doing synths was only about the MB-7 mixer. (Which I think may be the only thing of theirs I don't have - just waiting for a no-brainer sale price).

What's nice is you can save these combinations in a patch of their own for recall later also.
And it works in both standalone and your DAW.
