... the scanning process just doesn't progress further when it reaches Attack until I hit cancel. Then the Attack plugin is blacklisted.

I tested all possible combinations of the latest Tracktion 5 build 32 and 64 bit and Attack VST2 and VST3 32 and 64 bit on Windows 7. The other plugins from the collection (D-Pole and PPG V2) work fine. Attack from Waldorf Edition version 1 also works.

Reaper scans and loads Attack 2 just fine.

Will test with latest build of Tracktion 6 demo asap.

The problem is the same in latest Tracktion 6 32 or 64 bit.

confirmed here. Win 7x64, Tracktion 6.025, Attack2 x64.

Thanks.

I'm writing a bug report to Waldorf support also now.

I reported this to TSC a couple days ago, they are looking into it...

Update: Problem continues with Attack version 2.01

FYI: I was able to scan it in with Tracktion 4 and its working fine...

I reported this to Waldorf support some weeks ago, but then got an email from them after two weeks, that they are on vacation, and that I should write again after that (!). Did that a week ago, but haven't received an answer yet.

Got a reply from Waldorf support today: they tell me, Tracktion is a "No-Name" DAW and they therefor can't test their products with it >:|

Thatswhy I asked them about a time-limited demo version before upgrading, which they weren't able to provide either.

I really don't know why I led myself be convinced to buy something from this company again.

Ah, one of those no-name VST publishers that don't understand or follow VST standards. One would expect German companies to be sticklers for standards but it must be a perception they choose to hide behind.

Noted for future reference.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

I think ive read somewhere that Waldorf has connected with Tracktion? :?:

I believe Wolfram Franke, formally of Waldorf now works for Tracktion.
Maybe it annoyed them to lose him to a 'no-name' outfit.

One thing I've noticed with TSC is there are always problems - but they nearly always get fixed. Supporting thousands of plugs across three platforms for $70. Glad its not me.

I don't get why Tracktion is classed as a no name host and yet Bitwig is officially supported even though it is by far the new kid on the block and much less complete.

Ive got still a lot of problems with Tracktion. It crashes in different situation with the same plugins. Ive got a feeling that closing other apps (browser mainly) helps a lot.
But it is so great daw and it opens so quickly that i can live with it (i am not a pro with a recording studio) :ud: :ud: .

Hey guys - thanks for letting us know - we are reaching out to the good folks at Waldorf to introduce ourselves and hopefully not remain a 'no name' DAW ;)
