Oh boy, oh boy, I've been warezed

So one of my little "what you think it's worth" Kontakt machines, has been taken by some one-eyed gentleman with a hook in place of his hand. Feels like I earned new stripes. Before any of KVR police asks the traditional question "and what YOU have been doing browsing such a site?", they were kind enough to post a link to my pages, so it popped in stats as referring site. Interestingly the only "sale" it scored this month, happened just an hour before, it hit the filesharing sites. Too bad he evaluated it rather poorly.

sorry to hear this man! but let us know if this triggers more sales? then maybe we can finally settle the issue that piracy helps sales by giving more people access, a few might buy...

How does that prove that the person who purchased your instrument also warazed it?Interestingly the only "sale" it scored this month, happened just an hour before, it hit the filesharing sites.
Have you only had one sale and one download since the product was released?
If not, you might be jumping to conclusions.
Just a thought.

It doesn't. I was trying to be ironic, in a way. I apologize, if anyone might felt offended with what I wrote.Aloysius wrote:How does that prove that the person who purchased your instrument also warazed it?

No worries. I was just a little alarmed by the fact that someone could have purchased your product in good faith and now they were getting the blame for something someone else had done.
Anyway, thanks for the clarification.

Nah, I'm not gonna interact in any way. It's not a business for me.kangul wrote:If he added a link to your site, I thnk it worth adding a motivating anti-wares text to the landing page.
Actually, I feel relieved. Although, let's face it, I've got f***ed. On the other hand, if everyone else gets f***ed, but not you, it makes you feel kind of old and ugly.

Nope. It triggered some traffic flow, which has been exhausted in less than a day, but nothing else. Not even a comment.Tjgoa wrote:but let us know if this triggers more sales? then maybe we can finally settle the issue that piracy helps sales by giving more people access...

Zombie Queen you have a much better view of the world than I do. I see the planet as a beautiful thing, but the people make it hell. Literal hell.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:Zombie Queen wrote:[let's face it, I've got f***ed. On the other hand, if everyone else gets f***ed, but not you, it makes you feel kind of old and ugly.![]()

Has to be an all time low in the backwards DEvelopment of humanity when having your work show up on thief sites is a badge of honor or accomplishment. Even if in a backhanded punch to the soul sort of a way.
I tried suicide and I just won't die, so here we go.
Anyway though keep on rockin, I salute your courage

That sucks, but who hasn't been warezed?
So you just came out with version #2. I was going to ask if there was some kind of free or upgrade pricing, but then I saw the beginning price of $1 and laughed. Still... can't we get 10 cents off or something?
(joking)
Hmmm.. Pschodrumma I is pretty kick ass, but I've kept quiet about it because I didn't want everyone else to know about it and sound like me. (but now that it's warezed, I guess I'll go ahead and say it) Speaking of which, one of the issues I've had is that most things I make with it sound very similar. Granted I haven't mastered it, but I hope II helps to add a little more variation.

Really sorry to hear this. If it is any 'consolation', I'll be picking this up, in a bit. Really nice!!!

I thought of a 50% off to celebrate the wareization, but them bandcampers won't allow anything in between 0 and 1.toine6 wrote:Still... can't we get 10 cents off or something?(joking)
There is no improvement in possible rhythmic structures in mk.II, there are more ways to tame randomization process, more sounds, effect rack and a kind of songbuilder. It's more a fantasy than a tool really. If you like experimenting with creating random rhythms, check this, it can generate a bit more sophisticated output.toine6 wrote:Speaking of which, one of the issues I've had is that most things I make with it sound very similar.
