Hello all,
I am happy to announce that today we have released the Cubase Pro 8 and Cubase Elements 8 trial together with Cubase Elements 8 full version.
Like previous versions Cubase Elements 8 Trial will install a trial license automatically, so there is no need to request a separate activation code.
You can also find both trials on the following link:
Cubase Pro 8 and Cubase Elements 8 Trial
You can purchase Cubase Elements 8 full version and the updates from the following link:
Cubase Elements 8
Those of you who have activated Cubase Elements 7 since January 15, 2015, are now eligible for a free, downloadable Grace Period update to Cubase Elements 8. Please check here for more information.
Best regards,
GN

Nice. Time to upgrade my Elements.
Oh, nice that it's only 19,99 € for the upgrade now. Is that the regular upgrade price from now on, or just temporary?
Edit: Just saw this:

Grand, grand update. Everything that was already good is even better now.
Looking forward to dive deeper in in the next weeks. Especially the new plugin manager and the performance is a nice improvement.

To be honest, it was about damn time the demo got released. It is(!) beyond my comprehension why it's taking 3,5+ months to even offer(!) a demo instead of day 1 .
And fun thing on the Upgrade for Elements - KEYS had another special issue with both Cubase 7 and Wavelab 8 LE. Do I see some skin game going on?
Anyway, testing C8 is finally possible prior to upgrading. Or I wait another 2-4 months for the LE Version. I'm sure that. .5 will hit around Summer NAMM again anyway.
1) Do you run into the new Taskbar graphic glitches?
2) is Elements worth it if you only need the new "features" every once in a while (what was the MSRP again?! 100 eurobucks?!)
Thanks

Thanks, tested. It's a great product but there are too many options atleast for me. Most of people will enjoy this product for sure but too complex for everyday people like me who like just open the program and enjoy studio time in the spare time.

No idea about the new taskbar, will keep an eye on that. Feature wise there's a couple of things which made the upgrade worth for me. Groove Agent SE4, which is a huge step up from Groove Agent One, better performance, the plugin manager, very interested in the chord pads, like the new GUI... kind of a no-brainer for 19.99 € upgrade costs. Actually i upgrade to version 7 because i wanted to upgrade to 8, and i thought i only had an upgrade option from 7, but turns out i would have been able to upgrade from version 6 too. So i really should have skipped 7. Anyway.Compyfox wrote:

Of course, i can't tell if it's worth it FOR YOU. For me, it's a great upgrade. Anyway, enough fanboy'd.

If the Chord Pads/Track 2.0 is fully accessible in LE/Elements (especially LE, once the Mag ware hits), I think of getting a "small Cubase" to bridge the gap in terms of the constant .5 Upgrade madness. Or until S1 v3 comes along and blows Steinberg out of the water.
So yes, it would be worth A LOT to me.
Actually, if Cubase (full) would finally remove the 5.1 (6 channel multitrack) limitation and in turn go to 7.1 (8 channel multitrack), not to mention Nuendo in turn offering up to Auro3D or even Hamasaki 22.2, then we start talking. But I think that won't happen that soon. Same with certain routing or the 6+2 channels strip limitation (that's what chainer tools are for, right?).
Hey, I can dream.

But damn the website! It is so slow! It says 6-7 hours to download it
edit:
I canceled the download and restart a new one. Now it is downloading fast and in a half an hour I think I'm going to play with my new toy, I mean tool
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.
