. But I am here to tell you about a new website which is purpose-built for online beat battles from the ground up. (I'm the guy who built it, hi).I can't emphasize enough that I'm not here to just try and steal anyone away from this community -- I'm looking to promote the site here because, if you're into beat-making at all, I genuinely think you'll be interested to see it. So far the response from producers has been hugely positive.
We've made some pretty radical improvements to the whole idea of online beat battles, things like:
User Profiles -- including:
- A full history of flips made and battles entered.
Any wins you've had.
Total number of likes you've received on all your tracks combined.
- No more counting up forum posts manually.
Super-easy big green vote button, right next to each flip (see pic).
Rules like "Only one vote" etc. hardcoded in.
Really easy to see who has voted where, right next to each flip.
Battle entries sorted:
- The cream rises to the top.
When a battle finishes, everybody's flips are automatically sorted into positions.
Those with the most votes and likes appear at the top of the page.
That means you can get straight to the quality, and listening to old battles is a much better experience!
(Ps, when I say new I mean NEW: we're 5 weeks old and only on our 3rd battle!)
