A remix turned more 'collab' of a recording by a talented group of NZ artists, including Amy Mcbride (aka Amy_cin or Amy Davidson here on KVR). Huge thanks to her for sharing her amazing group of musician friends with me. The original version was an ambient-improv jazz version of the classic song "Summertime". I took a lot of the sounds from the recording and twisted them up into something quite different. Since this included some of my KVR peeps, I thought I would share here. :)
Thanks for listening, if you get the chance.

Due Credits:
Elyssa Vulpes - vocals (elyssavulpes.com)
Jason Just - guitar 'stabs' (soundcloud.com/distorture)
Sye Witoko - Saxophone
Enzo Danger - FFT and feedback guitar
Amy McBride - FFT and feedback guitar
Jazzyspoon - (re)Mix, production, effects, drums, synths, and arrangement

Free download on my bandcamp page (linked in the SC player), if you were interested in getting a hi res version of it.

Edit 5/27: added a youtube video. :)

Great tune Jazzyspoon :)

Especially the bass in the main sections was "deliciously".

No crits 'cause it's Summerthyme :hihi: (and a fine track  )

Cheers :tu:

Fantastic remix. Great sounds and great mix. The vocals are gorgeous and I love the swirling sax parts. If fact, I think I like the atmospheric moments better than the more driving parts with drums and bass. There are just so many cool details and evolving sounds.

Thanks for sharing!

Superb output as always. But you know me, a faithful appreciator.

Thanks, guys. Glad this caught a few of your ears and I appreciate hearing your thoughts on it. Justin, I was also torn between the two parts and I finally decided I like the ambient parts more, as well. The rhythmic parts were almost done entirely on an MPC Ren.
Good to see the old neighborhood is still in good hands (yours). :)

I added a youtube video this week.

It's pretty ridiculous. :hihi:

Summer 2017 bump. Was listening to this the other day for the first time in a while and got a little nostalgic.
