Random notes being generated - advice needed on best Master Keyboard for Live Use

Hello all,
I have got to grips with Cantabile quite successfully now.
I'm using setlists and can scroll through the list manually using the B and N keys which is great.
I've noticed i get some random "spurious " notes occasionally.
I am wondering whether this is a hardware issue.


i'm using an ancient roland D10 synth as the Master keyboard.

I'm also using a "generic cheap" Ebay sourced Midi to Usb cable.


Any comments much appreciated.

Hi Midiman,

well, I´d bet on a problem of the usb interface but this only a guess...

I would try to get a another MIDI-keyboard and / or another interface for testing to clearify if one of them is source of troubles. If this doesn`t lead to a solution I`d recommend to use a MIDI-monitor (f.e. http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?pl ... or&id=1626). Implement it into a rack together with the plug you want to control via MIDI. So you get a good overview of the data running into cantabile.
