Author's ramblings and blah blah blah:

These banks were old products which I felt needed an update. In going over all these patches recently, I felt some were not of the kind of character I would go for in the genres they were intended for today. Instead of trying to force things in those directions, I've kept the overall spirit of the originals and refined them into patches that fit really well into other musical styles. I believe the final product is a good workhorse set with a timeless quality, which will continue to have relevant uses years after the latest fads have faded into obsolescence.

I've still got some "wob wob" stuff in here, but IMHO, it's done tastefully, and with future genres/crossovers mind. When it comes to dubstep, I personally enjoy the more laid back, liquid, and deeper/darker subgenres the most. They often borrow elements from the oldschool Dark Garage scene, with more emphasis on the subs and a strong "chill" feel, leaving room in the mix for intricate atmospheric pads, effects, vocals, etc. Many of the subs, "whoomp's" and wobbles in this collection are relevant to current future garage, deep underground dubstep, and forward-thinking hip hop artists.

BTW, if you like atmospheric dubstep/future garage more than the "Skrillex stuff," the following other products at my shop should fit your tastes:

Massive - Apocalyptic Visions (spooky pads/atmospheres)

Massive - Extraterrestrial Origins (trippy pads/atmospheres)

Z3ta - 'Dark N Dirty' and/or 'Deadly Dubtronica (basses, subs, wobbles, pads, synths, atmos)

Scanned Synth Pro - Xenogenesis (overall really good for future garage - pad, bass, subs, wobs, leads)
http://xenossoundworks.com/scannedsynthpro.html

Aalto - Alien Technology (no big basses included, this one is for sound effects and cool noise beds that fit well into an atmospheric dub/breaks track)
http://xenossoundworks.com/aalto.html

Mr Alis Pro - Chaos Theory (cool pads, FX and lo-fi synths)
