I've been eagerly anticipating this new bucket-bridge delay emulation flanger!

I got the email telling it's released. Went to the page, but couldn't find the buy button. So on gearslutz.com I find out, it will be released 19th June. Man, what a downer ;) Was waiting for that... at least it's only a couple of days.

Looking forward to this one. D16 makes my favorite effects. I probably use at least four D16 plugins in every project.

....and D16 remains the reigning king of worst plugin names.

Aerosol seems like a cool plugin, though. Cheap, too.

waits for somebody to correct the plugin name.

I think they have to be Silverline plugs though.

Post

That would be correct on it being Silverline plugins.

Yes, 5 Silverline you have to own, to get the offer. And I feel good to be one of them :clown:

I agree prima facie the name, along with all D16 plugs, sounds absurd but then again I don't speak Polish.

Are their names taken simply from the Scrabble board or are they Polish words (or variations thereon)?

In general it's a rather bad marketing decision if you even cannot remember the names. I'm always thinking about "what is their distortion called?", "how did they call their 606 plugin?" etc.

Compare that to the likes of Hive, Diva, Massive, Ace, Bitwig, Echo Boy...

Awh come on now :) ... These examples are just bias, coming from the point of view of someone who already knows what the names of the "more familiar sounding plugins" are. The thing is, you remember the names of the plugins you like and use more often.

You quoted a lot of U-he plugins, so that's a good example, yes: their names contain information just as little. Bazille, Runciter, Diva, Zebra, Presswerk... You just need to learn them and remember them. Some of the mentioned names hint at the functionality of the product, but so do the d16 ones. Nothing wrong with names like Fazortan, Decimort, Devastor and so on, when compared.
