Hi all,

Our latest plugin giveaway is an exclusive, CM-branded edition of zplane.development's Vielklang 2 Instant Harmony harmoniser plugin.

You can take a monophonic audio part (or MIDI, in fact), automatically detect what key it's in, and instantly generate up to three harmonies to go with it, based on the detected key and scale. You can easily tweak the generated harmonies using a piano-roll-style editor. The obvious use is on vocals, but you can use it with any monophonic sound source.

The plugin also packs in advanced pitch correction, allowing you to edit the tuning and timing of audio material in a graphical manner.

Under the hood, Vielklang 2 CM uses zplane's industry-standard elastique Pro algorithms (used in Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio, etc).

Yes, that's how I get the software. You have to go the Computer Music Vault webpage to get the software (after answering a few questions from the magazine).

The info is on the page linked above, but the full version has "additional scale types, more advanced pitch-editing including a vibrato designer, and one-click export of separate separated harmony voices as both MIDI and audio files".

I tried few days ago a full version demo. It is really nice on recognising very specific scales from vocal file.
This is actually LE version I suppose.

Does one can help me figure how to install this zino thing on windows 7 ? I start to suspect this is a pile of crap... (frankly what's that question : Which word is missing from the top right boxout heading on page 91? "Workflow ???" .) Isn't a transaction number more secure ? By the way when you try to install zinio on windows 7, it just ask you to update to windows 10...

There must be something i don't understand...

Did you go to this page ( http://www.zinio.com/www/apps/desktop.jsp ) and click on the image at the top of the page on the left?

It's not clear that's what you're supposed to do, but I've got a Windows 7 machine and that appears to work. It looks to me like Zinio updated their site very recently and some things are displaying properly.

Don't click on the Windows icon on the right as that's for Windows tablet apps. If you do that, you'll get a message that you need at least Windows 8.

Here's an image that shows where to click on that page to get the desktop version.

The CM version is not the same as LE.

In the CM version:

1. Only the following harmonization modes are available:
a. 4 voiced intelligent
b. 3 voiced intelligent
c. 2 voiced intelligent
d. Parallel

2. The voice order in '4/3/2 voiced intelligent' harmonization mode is not
editable

3. Scales are Major, Aeolic Minor and Harmonic Minor – LE and full version have more
