Hi. I'm making deep/progressive house with ableton live. Now I want to try something new. A Chillstep track like sizzlebird, because i really like that sound :)
I'm searching for some good tutorials or a course. couldn't found anything on youtube, sonic academy etc...
I already have basic knowledge at music theory, sound design,... but it would really help me to see a track like this build from start to finish!

This is the sound I'm looking for:

I'm new to this forum. If this is the wrong place for this question please let me know :)

There are some available on YT.
Most of them are in FL Studio. I saw one in Ableton but DAW shouldn't matter.

Try these, pretty decent:

If you already know music theory then all you have to focus on is the structure of the song and the sounds. I stumbled on this genre while making some dark dubstep demo. I love this soothing, lounge style. I am working on new tracks in this genre.

Thanks for Sizzlebird link. Amazing stuff.

Hey thank you for the quick answer.
I watched the tutorials and they helped me, thanks. but what about mixing, and finishing a whole song? that's my biggest problem.. i made a 3 and a half minute track and it sounds not bad. but anyway theres missing something and i don't know what..
i send you the dropbox link maybe you want to take a listen :)
it's not mixed and it's not finished.. but I'm at a point where i don't know how to continue..
my biggest problem is how to mix the bass.. if i automate all the basses with bandpass filters and phasers and so on, they have too much dynamics. does it need to layer them al up with sub layers? but what if I just cut all the basses between 100 and 200 hz and let one side chained sub bass play threw the whole track at those frequencies? except in the breakdown..
hm i think I still need to search for more tutorials.. but thank you for the help :)
