Special Selection for Arturia Prophet V
The Prophet 5 is a special synthesizer for me.
I purchased the hardware back in 1980.
The sounds I had heard on some Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and Pink Floyd recordings were very inspiring.
These were some of the more lush and atmospheric synth sounds I had heard to date.
I was surprised when firing up the synth and checking out the presets, those lush and atmospheric presets were not stock.
So my days of programming synthesizers began.
Flash forward (many years)....
The Arturia Prophet V, a tasteful emulation that has matured over time.
More capable then my original Prophet 5, more like a Prophet 10 VS plus some.
Actually, the Arturia Prophet V is more like, "Three synthesizers in one: Prophet 5, Prophet VS, Prophet Hybrid..."
So here we are, so many years later and I am checking out the presets again.
To my surprise the category, "Atmospheres" does not even exists, and so many of the pads are lackluster.
I have been here before.....
