Komplete 14 Kontakt Reaktor

Post

So you look now. Their have been no reaktor instruments so far. Just kontakt. So obviously kontakt 6. In your mind, what will be in komplete 11. Also, why are some people suggesting that the sound iron brass symphony won't be in komplete 11 ultimate? Keep hearing that.

Komplete 10 will be the last Komplete... for 5 years. Then in 2020 we'll get...

UberKomplete Mega Ultimate Total. Pro. XL.

Srsly.

If they release a new version, wouldn't that make the current version Inkomplete?

Deastman... OMG you are correct.

I wouldn't be able to look the Massive GUI in the "i" again.

It just would feel... less... massive...

No but in the interests of being less flippant than I usually am and actually answering the OP... I'm not sure who would know. Maybe EvilDragon, he seems to be some kind of NI insider.

Komplete 11 - wouldn't it be cool if it came with not just the Brass sample-set, but like a really awesome complete symphony (in only the way NI would do it), with a metric shit ton of drums and percussion. Like a full terabyte drive of stuff like Damage/Cinedrums/Stomrdrum/Every Epic Cinematic Monster Percussion Drum Sound Evarrrrrrrr.

Then another terabyte of strings (just for the TRUE LEGATO patches).

Or screw that they come out with Kontakt SIX - and it has a scripting and manipulation engine that can take a sample of you farting and turn it into an entire orchestra. A 500 kb sample of a fart.

And so on.

NI I'm giving you gold here. You can be on the FOREFRONT of sampling technology. Even more than you already are. Give the users what they NEED.

Three more Reaktor ensembles. $200 upgrade.

Post

Will there be a dubstep-oriented ensemble among the three?

Post

Can feel in my bones that Kontakt 6 will be out at the same time or before K11.

While this is kind of true, the Reaktor ensembles they've been selling are lightyears ahead of almost anything in the user library. (Note that I said *almost*)

...I predict they will continue focussing on their core technologies, as they've announced it a few years ago, i.e. Kontakt & Reaktor. And that probably means more Reaktor and Kontakt instruments, though I wouldn't mind updates for the main programs.

I certainly don't mind Reaktor synths, as for me they are among they most exciting synths that came out in recent years. I really like their design and how all of them do something special with easy and intuitive interfaces. They truly have an amazing UI developent team. Rounds is a very good example for a workflow improvement. For something like this you would have stacked a number of synths in your sequencer or would have troubled yourself with some kind of modular interface like Bazille or the Modular V (which I both like). But these circle sequencers are such a brilliant idea, just like the modulation rings in Massive.

I'd also like to see updates for Massive, FM8 and Absynth, as they're the centre of my synth arsenal (and perhaps for a lot of other people). Or a comprehensive mixing environment like the one in Kore implemented in Guitar Rig. Or a dedicated filter plug-in, as something like this is missing in their effects portfolio. But whatever it'll be - the recent versions of Komplete have been so good, that I'll trust them that there will be something interesting in it and that it will fit quite nicely into its range of instruments. Yes, it sounds fanboy-ish, but I remember pretty well working with Kontakt 2, Kore 1 and the initial version of Reaktor 5, which have all been a nightmare. So, in the last ten years they have done really well (and I'm a Kore 2 user, too).

Anyway, I really hope they will work on integrating Reaktor and Kontakt tightly into Maschine, e.g. opening Kontakt instruments directly in Maschine - like opening up to 64 instruments internally before initiating another instance of Kontakt and getting rid of that non-working midi routing. Or integrating Reaktor like Max4Live in Ableton Live. And hopefully reintroducing concepts from Kore in Maschine etc. etc. So, there are a few ideas... :D

(And hopefully they won't burn too much money in their crappy stems idea...)

I wonder if they'll discontinue their non-reaktor synths even though there are no reaktor equivalents to them. They haven't updated them in years. I assume they're moving away from them and only continue to support them for legacy purposes.

...can't imagine that anytime soon. Especially Massive seems to be still one of the most popular softsynths. Absynth and FM8 are probably used by a lot of (key-)people as well. And discontinuing those wouldn't seem like a smart move for NI. Scrapping Kore pissed off many people, I can't imagine what would happen if they'd do this with Massive, considering it has a significantly higher user-base (probably Absynth & FM8, too). So, I don't think this would be in their interest for a number of reasons. For me the only plausible scenario would be, if there were in fact Reaktor equivalents, that would offer a smooth transition (e.g. preset import). And I think it would be smart to have these one day, as I suspect the Reaktor platform could provide a wider scope of sustainability as well as streamlining development and maintenance. But to me Absynth, FM8 and Massive seem to be too complex to be "ported" to Reaktor soon. However, at one day with faster computers and their Reaktor Core technology developed further, they may not need to code their plug-ins in C++ anymore. But I guess, there is a need for these three "specialised allrounders" :) as well as there is for their recent Reaktor "one-trick ponys", so I'm confident we'll see another round of updates for them. NI's 20th anniversary next year would be a nice opportunity...

It would be great if they would finally add another analog emulation with the same quality as Monark.

ARP Odyssey would be great if they want to stay with monophonic ones, or a Pro One...

Streamlining Reaktor so that custom sample loading is a breeze would be worth the price of an upgrade alone.

who cares, you can probably make the same music with K10, 7, 5, or 1 for that matter.
HW SYNTHS [KORG T2EX - AKAI AX80 - YAMAHA SY77 - ENSONIQ VFX]
HW MODULES [OBi M1000 - ROLAND MKS-50 - ROLAND JV880 - KURZ 1000PX]
SW [CHARLATAN - OBXD - OXE - ELEKTRO - MICROTERA - M1 - SURGE - RMiV]
DAW [ENERGY XT2/1U RACK WINXP / MAUDIO 1010LT PCI]

Only thing that would make me upgrade from K9 is Reaktor 6 or Kontakt 6. Anything else are "nice to have" but not things I realistically need besides maybe Session Horns :)
SW: Cubase 9.5 | Komplete 11 | Omnisphere 2 | Perfect Storm 2.5 | Soundtoys 5
HW: Steinberg UR28M | Focal Alpha 50 | Fender Jazz Bass | Alesis VI25
