Does anyone knows a VST that has a "freeze" effect?

Once I owned a hardware effects processor from Dynacord, that had a very special type of hall effect, called freeze. It took the first few milliseconds of a sound and made a pad like texture out of it, that slowly faded out. (over a minute on default settings) With some instruments it sounded similiar, other ones gave you a completely different sound. It depends on the characteristics of the first tiny bit of the sound. With a guitar it sounded incredible. I never could achive something silmiliar with any other effect.
Does by any chance someone knows the effect processor I mean, and a VST that can do this?

Eventide Blackhole can do that. There's also Audiothing Frostbite that has a different take on the concept (and more besides).

I'll have a look at that one too, thanks. What I'm looking for isn't just an infinite plate or extra-long hall. This specific freeze effect made instruments like a piano or guitar sound like a synth.ere2learn wrote:Smartelectronix Ambience its a reverb with freeze function & its free

It sounded like this:
https://soundcloud.com/fischzucht/interzone-remastered
The song contains 1 bass guitar track, 1 guitar track (with freeze), 1 drum track and 1 percussion track.
(it's very, very old...^^)

Vengeance Sound Time Freeze. Unfortunately (or not?), only available as part of a bundle:

Great, this looks like I can do that with it. Seems generally great for experimental music. (what i mostly do)pheeleep wrote:Vengeance Sound Time Freeze. Unfortunately (or not?), only available as part of a bundle:

Another one on my list. Thanks.
Btw. for me it's more "unfortunately". I've bought so many effects and bundles already... There are effects of the same type that I have in 8 different versions.

You'll need to experiment with the timing of the freeze button, but you might get similar sounds out of Boscomac's Freezebee if you have Reaktor.
