I've been harassing one dev who makes great emulations, to make a jp8080 plugin. He said that it's possible if there are lots of requests so I though I'd ask here that am I the only one or is there lots of people who share my wish?

Isn't Sunrizer more or less a JP-8080 emulation? It's not exact, but is pretty close and shares a similar sound aesthetic, I beileve...

I'd love to see a 64-bit JP8080 emu that works well on my puny 720p laptop, unlike Sunrizer. Would I cough up cold hard cash for it, though? Hard to say.

Btw, just wondering if there's anyone who compared his JP-8k or JP-8080 to the JP-8000 waveform in Electra2? To my ears, it sounds sweeeet, especially for pads and stuff, which is IMO also a big domain of the JP-8k, at least from what i gathered from sound demos. Of course, naturally, Electra's filter and envelopes will be different, just wondering about the raw JP-8 supersaw.

I haven't touched my JP-8000 in years, but I'm pretty happy with the emulation in Diva. It's the only I've they seems to have gotten the feedback oscillator right.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

There aren't any devs anymore. What you get is what you get.

TAL?
Well, Diva has the JP8000 osc section, which would cover my needs if I was desperate for an emulation.
But if it's TAL I'd welcome any new synth, although I'd prefer a Pro- one or prophet 5 over a JP8000.
