Does Anyone Actually USE Scarbee Basses?

I like their Rickenbacker, but the great majority of the Scarbee bass instruments for Kontakt are pretty damn bad imo.
I really noticed it when I started previewing the basses from Ghostwriter, Ministry of Rock 2...even some of the Nexus patches.
Am I missing something? Does anyone here actually use these libraries?

I'm a big fan of the scarbee basses. Most of them are recorded as dry di bass, so you can punch them up a bit with a good bass amp sim. If you need a part with expression there are few better, because of the scripting engine.

They're pretty great IMHO.

I've used them several times in finished tracks. Had to read the manual before I really understood how to control them realistically. But they are what I use if I need a bass guitar; never felt a need for anything else.

I have used them, not bad,
Since I purchased Trillian I use that more for samples.
Mostly, I use synth basses these days since I am always working with them.
Plus, a synth bass can be designed very specifically for whatever song I happen to be working on.

I've been using the Zebras and Xils 4 for basses in general.PatchAdamz wrote:I have used them, not bad,

But for me (despite the everpresent bugs), the East West samples are terrific...or maybe it's just me, I love their sound.
I really don't like the overall timbre of anything but the Rickenbacker amongst the Scarbee. I got rid of those libraries both because I never used them, plus I needed room for the new Albion 1 (incredible plugin and quite the reboot and renovation of the original, not just for orchestral/acoustic instruments).
I won't miss the Scarbee.

I own them all as part of the NI package, but I never use them anymore. Turns out, Image Line's Morphine has a pretty great set of bass presets. And Morphine uses very few resources and loads in a snap. A dusting of FX on top and I'm really good to go.

I have K10 U so I have them all. They sound realistic enough as far as playability but the overall tones of them are what put me off. Just way too boomy. Last Black Friday I scooped up Elfimov's Retro Bass but never really tried anything seriously with it will a few weeks ago..... now its my "go to" bass. I dropped it in a mix I had Scarbee Ricky in and what a difference! Much more balanced tone right off the start and after redoing the mix a much better overall sound. I will be checking out his other basses for sure now.
Even though I own NI's whole catalog, I find all the Scarbee stuff, electric pianos included, way too muddy...then the AR Drums I guess make up for that by sounding boxey and scratchy.

I pretty much exclusively use Scarbee, Pre- and Jay-basses. If you actually like what they're based in, you would like these I think.
IMO this is *it*. I used Trilian I think twice for actual 'bass guitar' but I don't really enjoy using that interface.

I haven't been able to even try the Scarbee MM bass that comes with Komplete 10. No matter what I do I always get a "Background Loading Problem" error saying that my memory is getting low and kills my ASIO driver (need to reboot). Every other library (bigger ones even) run fine. F that.

I love the Scarbee MM bass. I've used that for several funk/soul parts. Actually, it makes me want to buy the real thing!
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

I don't really like the MM, but I love the Rick.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.
