Alternatives to iOS Music Player?

I am looking for alternative music players for my iPhone. I want to be able to move away from the whole iTunes control thing (apart from apps where there is NO choice) when it comes to music. I have just re-ripped my entire CD collection to MP3 and I am using iMazing to do the management thing, but I need an alternative player. So any suggestions or opinions/tips welcome
Thanks
Thanks

Stratospherix File Browser is my favourite iOS app - you can browse files on NAS drives, cloud drives, FTP servers, SMB shares, Apple Shares etc and it opens pretty much every format, certainly FLAC, MP3, including 24 bit FLAC, as well as video formats. It also sends sound to Airplay enabled speakers and HiFis.

They also do a Music Streamer app but it's not so good - it loads the same formats but they chose to do the iTunes thing of organising all files by their tags so you can only sort files by album, genre or artist but not by folder which is stupid and makes proper browsing impossible, File Browser is all you need.

Filebrowser includes a great music player app and wherever you put them you're still going to need to browse them.miden wrote:thanks guys, but I have settled on iMazing for the actual control of files etc...I am REALLY looking for Music Player app suggestions

it does not appear to have a player app for the iPhone? Which is what I am after and as stated in the OP
It seems to be a PC based program which is not what I need. But thanks again anyway.

Yes it does and it's an iOS app not PC based - don't know where you got this idea, I have it on my iPhone and iPad and use it to stream my Music collection from a cloud based drive, which means I can store a lot more than just on my iPhone (although you can transfer files onto the iPhone/pad too). Here's where it goes into its music playing capabilities.miden wrote:it does not appear to have a player app for the iPhone? Which is what I am after and as stated in the OP

On the other hand if you use iMazing it still imports into the iTunes folder so you need an app that can access that. Vox is a pretty neat simple music player for that.

hmmm, okay I didn't get that impression from that webpage yesterday, but perhaps I was looking at it the wrong way. So if that is installed on the iPhone, how do I get my music in to that app, without using iTunes or wi-fi?

Actually it's easiest using wifi as you can just put whatever music files you want to copy onto your iPhone in a networked drive, or dropbox, and then copy them over or stream them directly if you are at home. However I just tried iMazing and you can also directly copy music files into the Filebrowser app just by opening the app in iMazing and adding them to the documents folder (you can create subfolders in that too) - just drag and drop the files - they show in Filebrowser in the 'Itunes sync' tab.
On the other hand as I said you could also try Vox which is free and reads stuff in your iTunes folder that you have put there using iMazing. So 2 choices.

I will hijack the thread a little bit. I like Filebrowser, but do you guys know any similar player that do scrobbling to last.fm too?

I think the desktop version of Vox does that but not sure about the iOS one as I haven't used that version much as I mainly use Filebrowser (and don't use Last FM)
edit - just checked - in settings there is a Last FM sign in option so possibly that would do it.
