If you have a famous, or not so famous, drum groove/pattern/track that you'd like to find in a drum machine, please post here. ( Electronic drums, or old dm sampled based things, not pure acoustic drums )

I'm currently writing a library, and well, if I can please some of you and adress your wishes, all the best.

I have a several years old list of tracks that I made in case I would ever be confronted to such an opportunity, but reconsidering it now, it's 1/ limited to my own taste, and 2/ it includes too much pure acoustic stuff for the current project so that I'm sure I would miss some glorious and cult rythms if I strictly stick to my list.

Please note that it's mainly the patterns/grooves/rythms I'm after. I won't always have time enough to recreate all the sounds themselves identical, though I'll try to stick to the spirit of the originals when allowed. But the part will be there, with tempo refs, so you'll be able to customise/enhance/change the sounds if desired. In case the track is complex, I might only write the main pattern, or the few important ones, and very occasionally the whole song arrangement. ( Just because time is definitely not on my side for this project )

Just post tracks with audio, youtube reference or mp3, etc. Please, don't post only tracks names, or long lists of track names, cos I'm not sure I will have time to search all titles.

You have probably a very bad taste because

It's a drummer with real drums though, but the 2 bars pattern in the beginning I always found very clever and groovy. Hmmm tempted to do this one, ... though it's acoustic in essence.

Lol yes please no more than 3 YT refs by post, if not, its a nightmare to watch the tracks and view the post.

Amen Too much pure acoustic oriented. Standard RNB pattern could be more/less recreated though, but not a priority on the list.

Afrika Bambataa - Planet Rock
Soul Searchers -Ashleys Roachclip (used by PM Dawn, Milli Vanilli etc)

Tbh I already programmed them all by myself but I think they should not be missed in any serious drum pattern collection.

Looking forward to this device.

If you are doing a groove library it would be great if you also release it separate for any DAW. There is a big lack of drum libraries around.

Its not a crossdaw, crossplatform etc drum/groove library actually. It will be one part of a new Drum Machine. Just I'd like to offer more diversity than I could achieve choosing/creating all the drum patterns by myself, and possibly please some users at the same time, as a collateral damage.

Well, something I would really really love to hear is the drums that you can find in Kraftwerk's Metal On Metal from the LP Trans Europa Express. The groove is really grate and rare. There are zillions of variation possibilites here as well.

If one think about it. The whole main grove is really quite jazz based actually.

A very well known grove that , by some reason , nobody re-produce.
