I have a really old song I found while backing up my cds to my hard drive but its scratchy and static at parts. I have no idea how to go about fixing it but I think there is a way I've heard about but I can't afford the Izotopy Rx. Would be really great to fix it but hopefully it'd only take a second, if not, then its ok :)

You have a 30 day trial period for RX5 Advanced, so you could do it yourself.

Take a footprint of the noise you want to eliminate in the de-noising module, select the noise only - e.g. with the lasso tool - and make sure no musical frequencies you want to preserve are selected, this can also be a multi-selection at several different parts of a given wav, then hit "Learn". After that remove crackles and clicks with the declicker (if the noise reduction has not erased them efficiently). I could go on for half an hour but you'l make it :)
