Who ever said- it was easy and smooth to install must be installing it on a C drive. I always have problems installing samplers, except Kontact. And with all the experience of constant struggle of (why is there no presets?) it still happens. So I am changing the locations from C drive to V drive. Why is it such a big deal? It asks where to install Falcon. Does not say- Falcon samples, Falcon Data or anything specific. So I said- install in V/Falcon. How hard it can be? Where to install VST? On V/VSTplugins. But no- it lost.
First of all- why is it in instruction e-mail it says, To set up your UFS library:
1. Download and install the latest UVI Workstation
2. Copy your UFS library to your computer
3. Launch UVI Workstation in standalone and go to Preferences > Sound Banks
4. Click Add '[...]' and select the folder containing your UFS file(s)
5. Restart the app - your library now appears in the Browser > Sound Banks
I did not have any plans to install the UVI workstation. But I did, I pointed it to the folder containing .ufs file. Go to presets and it gives me bunch of errors.
The Falcon- how did you load the factory library? It shows "No program available". Is there a search function, settings for library? This is frustrating- I dont have time for it. I have one day off a week to work on music, not to deal with this drama. Thank you for listening. You are awesome.

Yeah, you been very helpful, thanks. There is no room for user error. It is straight forward operation- it doing it itself- nothing is up to me, other than the installation folder.
Did you install on C? How did you import the factory library? Did you install UVI workstation too?

Yet again the utterly unhelpful "user error" reply strikes.
Is there a return policy on Falcon? Any support service? If they didn't test their installation on drives other than C, then they don't deserve being paid.
I've encountered this kind of error in many different pieces of software over the years (audio, graphics, games, etc). It's a standard problem on operating systems using drive letters... It's also maddening, and you'd think it would've been permanently solved a decade ago. Yet another reason I'm abandoning Windows.

1 - Download Falcon
2 - Download Falcon UFS Library
3 - Open Falcon
4 - Load Program (Select your UFS Library)
5 - You can select your preset from the sound library
6 - play with the sounds !
Load Programm is easy to go in Falcon, also already in MachFive 3

Just got mine today. No problems installing. Just followed directions. On Mac book Pro. Love it so far. Seems to be an instrument so deep that you can get in as deep as you want or stay on the surface and still be in awe!

@astralv
you shouldn't need to install UVI workstation
they have sent generic instructions - confused me too
you need to go to Falcon settings
which is the spaanner to the left of the preset name <default multi> centre top of GUI
(sorry, dyslexic, can't remember name of that area of GUI)
open preferences > soundbanks
then tell it where your soundbanks are....
i'm on mac, hope its the same
hope this helps

Ilok bro. It's why I waited till the GAS wore off. It didn't take long for me, I'm over it. No way am I touching Ilok. I've had problem with ELicenser before and that's a fairly benign one. I'm not going near that diseased dong.

Yea the manual explained it pretty well. I installed on drive E: and my libraries are all on drive G:.
No need for Workstation.
Now all of my libraries show up in Falcon.
Hijack Alert!!!!!
Does this mean I can uninstall Workstation since Falcon pretty much does it all?
